A 2-minute tour of the membership app — what the coins are, and exactly what to tap as a guest, as staff, and as the venue.

The big idea
Búho runs on BúhoCoin (BC) — a digital wallet for the night. 1 BC = CHF 1. You load coins into your wallet, then order drinks & food straight from your phone — no card, no cash at the bar, no queue. Members get an automatic discount on every order, and the more you come, the higher your tier and the bigger the discount.

For guests — step by step

Join / open your wallet
New here? Sign up at /rsvp — pop in your name and your wallet opens instantly. Already have a card? Tap it, or enter your member code at /member.

Check your balance
Your coin balance sits at the top of every screen (e.g. ◎ 50 BC). It updates live as you spend or get topped up.

Order to the bar
Tap Order, pick a category, add drinks & food to your cart. Your member discount is applied automatically — you’ll see the subtotal, the discount, and the final total before you pay.

Pay with one tap
Hit Pay ◎ …. The coins leave your wallet and the order drops onto the staff queue. You’ll see “Order sent to the bar 🍸”.

Need more coins?
On Home, tap Request +20 / +50 / +100. A team member approves it and the coins land in your wallet — or just ask any staffer to top you up against cash.

For staff

Unlock the dashboard
Go to /staff and enter the staff PIN (1111for the test), or tap your staff NFC card.

Work the queue
Each paid order appears in Queue. Move it along: Start → Mark ready → Served. Made a mistake? Refundputs the coins back in the guest’s wallet.

Door check-in
On the Door tab, type a guest’s code to check them in.

Top up a guest
On the Top-up tab, enter a code + amount to add coins (cash → BC), or approve guests’ pending requests with one tap.

For the venue (admin)

Unlock
Go to /admin, enter the admin PIN (1111), or tap your admin card.

Watch the night live
The top row shows live revenue, orders, who’s inside, and total coins outstanding. It refreshes by itself.

Pre-load & approve
Set an amount and +load any guest’s wallet, or approve top-up requests.

86 the menu
Sold out of something? Tap 86 to hide it from guests instantly; tap again to bring it back.

Good to know
- Every coin move is recorded in an append-only ledger — your balance is always the exact sum of what you’ve loaded minus what you’ve spent. Nothing can silently go missing.
- Guests can never give themselves free coins — top-ups are always approved by staff or the venue.
- Staff & admin screens are PIN-locked so they never end up on a guest’s phone.
